Bachelor Gulch Village Facts
Bachelor Gulch is a residential, on-mountain community made up of chalets, townhomes and condominiums. Private home prices start at $4,000,000 and condominiums range in price from $1,500,000 to $4,500,000. About 85% of these residences have ski in / ski out access and expansive views of the surrounding mountains. With strict design and building guidelines in place, the architectural elements of Bachelors Gulch include quaint street lamps, rustic stone, timbers and massive logs. The theme is meant to be reminiscent of the grand lodges found in the U.S.A's National Parks.
The Ski Resort
Bachelor Gulch Village has a base elevation of 8,100 feet and the summit is about 9,560 feet above sea level. There are four high speed quad lifts that bring riders and skiers to 25 ski runs. Bachelor Gulch Village is the central ski village in the 3.7-mile Village-to-Village™ trail that links Bachelor Gulch with Beaver Creek® and Arrowhead. Lifts include Lower BC Mtn Express (7 min), Bachelor Gulch Express (8 min)Upper BC MTn Express (9 min) and Cabin Fever (2 min).
Most ski runs are beginner to intermediate runs, with a few mogul runs. Bachelor Gulch tends to have many groomed runs. Groomers work 20 hours each day, providing acres of corduroy for your skiing and riding pleasure. Some gladed tree skiing can be found as well. Generally, there are fewer people skiing here than at the nearby, connected Beaver Creek, which means that snowy powder stashes can be found days after a snowfall.
With over 300 days of sunshine and an average of 331 inches of snow during the winter, Bachelor Gulch's average temperatures vary widely between winter and summer. Daytime temperatures in the summer usually fall between the mid-60s to the mid-80s. Winter daytime temperatures vary between the mid-20s to mid-40s.
